On July 26, 2025, the Rotary Club of Patan Durbar Square, in joint collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Patan Durbar Square and the Spouse Group of the Rotary Club, organized a meaningful tree plantation program at Konjyosom Pratima, located in Bhardev-3, Konjyosom Rural Municipality, Lalitpur. The initiative aimed to promote environmental conservation, enhance greenery in the heritage area, and raise awareness about climate action through active community involvement. The project was supported by the Division of Forest Godawari Lalitpur and the local community of Konjyosom Pratima.

A total of 120 saplings, including fruit-bearing, flowering, and medicinal plants, were planted, with species chosen to suit the local climate and enhance the aesthetic appeal of the heritage site. Among them, 60 Kanneer flower saplings were generously sponsored by Rtn. Janak Prakash Thapa, Rtn. Chitra B. Pun, Rtn. Dr. Surendra Pd. Joshi, and Rtn. Chandra Krishna Shrestha. The local community, along with club volunteers, has taken responsibility for the ongoing care and maintenance of the plants.

President Rtn. Dr. Pragya Karmacharya Rajbhandari expressed sincere appreciation to all supporters and collaborators, emphasizing the club’s ongoing dedication to environmental stewardship. The collaborative efforts of Rotarians, Rotaractors, the Spouse Group, and community members made the event both impactful and inclusive, demonstrating the strength of united action in service to nature and heritage preservation.
