On the occasion of World Cerebral Palsy Day, on October 9, Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Patan Durbar Square joyfully celebrated with the wonderful children at the Self-Help Group for Cerebral Palsy (SGCP) in Dhapakhel. The children and staff warmly welcomed us with bright smiles and open hearts, creating a truly meaningful and memorable day.
The program was further enriched by the active participation of the Rotaract Club of Patan Durbar Square and the Spouse Group of the Rotary Club of Patan Durbar Square, whose support and enthusiasm contributed greatly to the success of the celebration.
This year’s global theme, “Unite with Unique,” beautifully reflected the spirit of the event. The celebration reminded us that every individual’s uniqueness strengthens and enriches our community.
The children showcased their incredible talents through graceful dances to Nepali songs while dressed in colorful traditional attire. Others confidently performed songs that filled the atmosphere with joy and inspiration. Their courage, determination, and happiness deeply touched everyone present, leaving many of us emotional and proud.
The event was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. More importantly, it served as a heartfelt reminder of Rotary’s commitment to inclusion, compassion, and service to humanity.
As part of our club’s ongoing dedication to Maternal and Child Health, the Rotary Club of Patan Durbar Square continues to support children with cerebral palsy and their families, helping them live with dignity, confidence, and hope.
