As part of our continued commitment to supporting children with cerebral palsy, the Rotary Club of Patan Durbar Square organized a food distribution program for children enrolled in the special educational program at the Self-Help Group for Cerebral Palsy (SGCP) in Dhapakhel, Nepal.

The initiative aimed to promote proper nutrition and healthy eating habits while supporting the physical well-being and overall development of children with cerebral palsy. Through this meaningful program, the club sought to provide not only nutritious meals but also care, encouragement, and joy to the children.

The program was actively supported by members of the Rotaract Club of Patan Durbar Square and the Spouse Group of the Rotary Club of Patan Durbar Square, whose participation added warmth and energy to the event.

During the program, the club provided a nutritious and balanced lunch to 30 children. The meal included rice, lentil soup, seasonal vegetables, and minced chicken curry. The food was carefully prepared to ensure a healthy balance of protein, carbohydrates, and essential vitamins, particularly important for growing children with physical and developmental challenges.

The children thoroughly enjoyed the delicious meal, and their smiles, laughter, and joyful expressions created an atmosphere filled with warmth, happiness, and togetherness. The event served as a reminder that even small acts of kindness and care can bring meaningful impact to the lives of children and their families.

Through programs like this, the Rotary Club of Patan Durbar Square continues to uphold Rotary’s spirit of compassion and service, while contributing toward a healthier and more inclusive community.
