The Rotary Club of Patan Durbar Square extended humanitarian support by providing antiepileptic medicines for a period of six months to Ms. Binita Tamang, a 20-year-old female diagnosed with severe intellectual disability and seizure disorder. This support was carried out in coordination with the Self-Help Group for Cerebral Palsy (SGCP) with the objective of ensuring continuity of essential medical treatment and reducing the financial burden on her family.
Regular access to antiepileptic medication is vital for effective seizure control, safety, and improvement in overall quality of life, particularly for individuals living with severe disabilities. Recognizing this important need, the club took initiative to contribute toward her long-term health and well-being.
Through this intervention, the Rotary Club of Patan Durbar Square reaffirmed its commitment to compassionate community service by promoting health, dignity, and care for vulnerable individuals in society. The club remains dedicated to supporting meaningful initiatives that improve the lives of persons with disabilities and their families.
