On 8th December 2025, the Rotary Club of Patan Durbar Square, in collaboration with the Lions Club of Gurans, jointly organized a sanitary pad–making training program at Kopila Nepa. The initiative brought together BSW students from AIMS College and mothers of children with Cerebral Palsy, creating an inclusive environment for learning, interaction, and empowerment.
The training program was conducted with the valuable support of the Self-Help Group for Cerebral Palsy and Kopila Nepa, with a total participation of 30 individuals. The primary objective of the program was to raise awareness about menstrual hygiene, address myths and stigma associated with menstruation, and encourage safe, affordable, and sustainable menstrual hygiene practices.
Through practical and hands-on training sessions, participants learned the process of making sanitary pads and gained important knowledge regarding personal hygiene and health. The program not only promoted dignity, confidence, and well-being among the participants but also introduced opportunities for small-scale income generation and self-reliance.
The Rotary Club of Patan Durbar Square remains committed to supporting community-based initiatives that promote health, education, empowerment, and social inclusion. The successful completion of this training program reflects the club’s dedication to creating meaningful and sustainable impacts within the community.
