On 17th January 2026, the Rotary Club of Patan Durbar Square supported a Community Service Project through the organization of a Free Health Camp at Jitapur Gandhakuti Bihar, Khokana, Lalitpur, in collaboration with the Lions Club of Kathmandu Gurans. The project was conducted under Rotary’s Focus Area of Disease Prevention and Treatment with the objective of improving access to essential healthcare services for underserved communities.

The health camp provided a wide range of medical services including gynecological consultation, cancer screening, ENT services, orthopedic and dental check-ups, diabetic and thyroid screening, cardiology consultation, general health examination, ultrasonography (USG), electrocardiography (ECG), and free medication distribution.

A total of 420 community members benefited from the camp. The program played a significant role in facilitating early diagnosis and timely medical consultation for individuals who may otherwise have limited access to healthcare services. The initiative also helped raise awareness about preventive healthcare and the importance of regular medical check-ups.

Members of the Rotary Club of Patan Durbar Square actively participated in the planning, coordination, and successful implementation of the program, demonstrating the club’s commitment to humanitarian service and community well-being.

The Rotary Club of Patan Durbar Square extends sincere appreciation to all healthcare professionals, volunteers, partner organizations, and supporters who contributed their valuable time and effort to make the health camp successful. Through collaborative service initiatives such as this, the club continues to work toward building healthier and stronger communities.
