The Rotary Club of Patan Durbar Square recently organized two important awareness programs in Birgunj, Nepal, to shed light on Cerebral Palsy (CP) and its impact on the mental health of children dealing with this condition. The program was supported by the Self-help Group of Cerebral Palsy and Cerebral Palsy Clinic and Care Center
The first event took place on August 28, 2023, at Narayani Hospital in Birgunj. It was attended by doctors, caregivers, and officers from Birgunj Sub-Metropolitan City. The goal of this program was to provide valuable information and insights into Cerebral Palsy and how it can affect the mental well-being of children.
The following day, on August 29, 2023, another awareness program was held, this time at Jeevan Jyoti School in Birgunj. This program was specially designed for students in higher secondary school and their teachers. Its aim was to educate them about Cerebral Palsy and the barriers it can create for the mental health of affected children.
These programs are vital steps towards creating a more informed and supportive environment for children with Cerebral Palsy and their families.
