President welcomed Charter President of RC PDS Rtn. Ram Pd Joshi, PDG Rtn. Dilendra Shrestha, NRCL Chair/IPP of RC Chandragiri, Rtn. Rajani Shrestha, President of Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce Rtn. Krishna Lal Shrestha, Secretary of Jestha Nagrik Samaj, Mr. Shambhu Bdr. Shrestha, Ann’s Group of RC PDS and President of Rotaract PDS, Rtr. Manoj Maharjan.
President of Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Rtn. Krishna Lal Maharjan shared an information about “Walkathon-Self Preservation of Historical Monuments” is a fund raising event organizing by LCCI on 21st September 19 for rebuilding Bhimsen Mandir of Patan, Mangalbazar. This event is sponsored by Kumari Bank Ltd and supported by Visit Nepal 2020 Campaign, NTB, Lalitpur Metropolitan City Office, Godawari Municipality and Mahalaxmi Muncipality. This walkathon start from Patan Durbar Square, Mangalbazar and ends at Khokana with traditional local refreshment. And, the registration charge for participants is Nrs. 500 nett per head, inclusive of T-Shirt and refreshment. Mr. Maharjan, request all members of Lalitpur to participate in this event.
Secretary of Senior Citizen’s Society Nepal, Mr. Shambhu Bahadur Shrestha shared their regular program “Felicitating Senior Citizens” of Lalitpur age of 89 years or above. This program will be celebrating on 30th November 19 at Patan Durbar Square amidst a grand ceremony attends by national and international dignitaries, social workers and cultural veterans.
Rtn. Subhakar Vaidya, Rotary Club of Yala invited all Rotarians in their upcoming Fund Raising and Blood Donation program on 6th September 19 at Bagaicha.
IPP Rtn. Surendra Pd Joshi, shared information of District Directory Mobile App, named Rotary International District 3292 and he request all Rotarians to use this app for searching a profile of all Rotarians of RI Dist. 3292.
Dr. Amatya had request to have clear vision of promoting Visit Nepal 2020 from Rotary Club of RI District 3292 and if possible, Rotary can also organized programs that will impact Visit Nepal 2020. Also, he approached to organize Inter City Meeting for more discussion in the presence of Tourism Minister, President of NTB and other guests related to this sector.
Rtn. Dr. Joshi brief about causes of flooding in Bagmati river due urbanization, disposal of rubbish, construction of infrastructures in flood plain, road embankment, narrow bridges, improper retaining wall, etc. Conclusion Note: The causes and consequences of such floods are investigated and some measures to mitigate such flood disasters have been presented
PP Rtn. Badam Lal Nyachhyoh,shared history of this campaign, which was stared from 2001 with objective of making World Heritage Site, Patan Durbar Square from waste free. Rotary can involve directly or can tie-up with Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry for this campaign and also, it can support Visit Nepal 2020. As per Rtn. Nyachhyon, there was lack of good participation from Rotary & Rotarians, so he requested all Rotary Clubs of Lalitpur to be participate in this campaign.
NRCL Chair/IPP Rtn. Rajani Shrestha thanked Rotary Club of Patan Durbar Square for hosting NRCL meeting, also thanked Rotarians and Guests for attending 15th NRCL meeting.
