In a powerful display of environmental commitment, the Rotary Club of Patan Durbar Square organized a tree plantation event in Sankhu on July 22, 2023. Collaborating with the Lions Club of Kathmandu Gurans and with support from Green Valley Green Nepal, the Rotary Club aimed to make a lasting impact on the environment by planting trees in key locations within the community.
The event took place at two prominent schools in Sankhu – Shree Bhagyodaya Higher Secondary School and Shree Bhagwati Secondary School. The Rotary Club’s mission was to instill a sense of environmental responsibility in the younger generation and promote the value of preserving nature’s gifts.
The members of the Rotary Club of Patan Durbar Square showcased their dedication as they led the charge during the planting process. With smiles on their faces and shovels in hand, they worked alongside Lions Club members, teachers, and other volunteers, creating a harmonious atmosphere of unity and purpose.
